Wikipedia places the Umm Al Quwain Fort, built in 1768 and now the National Museum, in the old souq area, and the 1820 town wall, about 290 metres of coral stone with three watchtowers, across the neck of the old town. The old harbour looks over the yard where dhows are still built.
